Summer is here, but unfortunately, travel restrictions are still in place. So to escape the city, we when for a weekend getaway to Littlehampton in the Arun District of West Sussex.
It is a small seaside town in the Arun District of West Sussex. It is situated 83 km south-west of London and 31 km of Briton, and it is an ideal destination for both a romantic getaway or a family weekend. Here are some of the things you can do in Littlehampton.
Things To Do
Littlehampton Beach
Take a nice walk along the beach. If the weather permits it, you can go for a swim or even have a barbecue. There is a special area for barbecues next to the Banjo Road Coach parking, and the equipment is free to use.
Oyster Pond
The Oyster Pond was originally used to house local fishermen’s catches. Nowadays, you can hire a kayak or a pedalo and roam around enjoying the fresh air and sun.

The Marina
Enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee or child beer in one of the cafés at the marina.
Harbour Park
Harbour Park is free to enter and one of the best ways to spend an afternoon with the kids. With family rides, arcades, soft play and restaurants, there is something for everyone.
West Beach
Cross to the other side of the Arun river either, by ferry or crossing the bridge situated 10 minutes walk from the pier, and enjoyed the beautiful West beach. There is also a small fort that you can visit,
The Pier
Take a walk on Littlehampton Pier. Grab some fish and chips and watch the fishing boats come and go from the harbour.

Miniature Railway
Ride the miniature Railway between Mewsbrook Park and Norfolk Garden.
Roam the town centre
Littlehampton town centre offers a range of high-street shops as well as local independent retails.
Discover the Marina Gardens and the War Memorial
Enjoy the beautiful Marina Gardens as well

ooooh looks like theres a lot to see, and it looks so pretty! This is making me miss my past pre-covid summer getaways haha, haven’t been here before but it looks really nice so it would be cool to visit some day !
