A Little About New Zealand

New Zealand (Aotearoa in Māori) is a beautiful small country with a population of 5.1million, situated in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. It consists of two main landmasses—the North Island and the South Island, and more than 700 smaller islands.

It is a country that offers a wide range of activities for all type of travellers. From beautiful hikes and week long tramping though mesmerizing landscape, to ski resorts to glacier climbing and unique scuba diving for adrenaline junkies, and wine tasting experience for a more luxury holiday.

The native Māori culture is fascinating and a must to explore. The Māori are incredibly welcoming and extremely passionate about sharing their culture and history.

New Zealand is an amazing country with so much to offer, and it should be on everyone’s bucket list!

Things to know before travelling to New Zealand

English and Te Reo (Māori)

Currency

New Zealand Dollar (NDZ).

Credit and debit cards are accepted everywhere.

Transport

Buses are the main form of public transport. If you really want to enjoy the country, though, it’s best to rent a car or a camper van to be able to visit all the hidden gems.

Weather

The climate varies wildly from north to south and the weather in general can be quite unpredictable.
